Why do I read?
There are many reasons for reading I think that one of the biggest reasons I read is for entertainment when either the TV is broken or I am grounded. Although I will only read books that I really like there are more of them every day. The books I typically like are in the genre of science-fiction and fantasy involving mythology, or other common known fairytales. When I read, I feel myself being drawn into the book, slowly losing grip of realty as I dive deeper into the plot of the book. Once I am really into the book I will not stop until I finish. I like to read series that are finished so I don’t lose interest by the time the next book come out and I forget what the series is about and have to reread the whole thing again. Another reason I like to read series is because it’s like one really long book divided into a few smaller books unless it a series like Eragon, which is a series of long books that when you combine them they fill a spot made for the encyclopedia. To me when I finish a book I feel like a part of me has died because I have gotten so into the book reality mingles with fantasy and although you can tell the difference you don’t want to but that all ends when the book or series ends and fantasy separates itself from reality
That kind of depressed me when you said a part of you died when you finish a book. But I have to admit i've felt that before with my favorites.
